Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

Well last week was nuts. My parents hosted a Christmas party for my mom’s family. 27 people were crammed into our small living room.

I got some awesome presents this year. HDadvanced with a Hard drive. It was easy to get going. Just take off your network adapter, slide in the Maxtor 160G hard drive, then put put the network adapter back on. Pop in the HDadvanced DVD and away you go. Now I can copy games to the hard drive and I will never ever need the CD again.

The second thing I got was a PS2 to USB converter. I can use my PS2 and PS1 controllers on my computer. It was very simple to setup.

I also got a few other things like T-shirts and other odd and ends.

Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Linux has re-enterd the building!

Well I’m into the Linux thing. A few weeks ago, for some odd reason, Windows “Stopped” working on my laptop. So I got out my Kubuntu Linux CD and started the install. Every thing ran well on the live CD but after I had it installed my Wireless Network card stopped working. After spending three hours going through the Ubuntu Forum I finally figured out that the wireless card didn’t have the power on. So I pushed Fn + F3 and away it went. After wards, I was reading some more on the Centrino Duo processors and found out that your can install a 686 kernel Instead of the regular i386. This allowed Kubuntu to use my second processor. Every thing else worked right out of the box. No fancy tweaks.

A week later and this is what it looks like.

Unfortunately I had to install a few Windows program under Wine. Then I had to install VMware so I could install XP under Linux. The only reason I have it is because of school work. Dam school and there Windows…

So there it is… Linux… IT ROCKS!

Snow Storm and Pre-Christmas

Last night, North Bay got a large amount of snow in a 8 hour period. We went from having no snow to having about 2 feat of snow. Needless to say ever one was unprepared. 12 hours after the storm, I finally got my parents snow blower to start. Boy was there a lot of snow.

Tonight I had the digital camera out here are a few pictures of what it looks like in my hood.

My parents also purchased a new 50″ Panasonic Viera TV. The thing is huge and was a evening project to get up on the wall. All the wires aren’t run through the wall yet. Me and my dad are going to be doing that after Christmas due to the fact were going to have to tare part of a wall down to do it. O well, it’s still nice to watch TV on. More pictures.

For presents this year I have already got my dad, mom and sister something but now I got to find something for Jess. It’s going to be a difficult challenge.

It’s Snowing

Well over night last night it started to snow. A far amount of snow but according to the weather most of will be gone by the end of the day.

The funny part is I have to go to my schools final football game today. It should make for an exciting time. We should win as long as the other team runs the same plays.

Anyway I have added snow to the site now. It will stay up till the snow here in North Bay is gone. I’ll take some pictures of the game and post them on here later on. Have a good day all.

Wildcat Football

Well first wanted to say sory for not posting for a wile. I’v been busy editing football video’s for the Junior football team at my high school. (Widdifield) Being the offical film crew for the games is quite a job. Editing them is even more time concuming then filiming. Anyways this Saturday is the final game. This is where they find out if we are the best or not. I may pt the video on the net depending on my bandwidth usage this month. 😛
