Blogging with Windows Live Writer

I’m writing to you from a very cool program that the people over at Windows Live just released. Windows Live Writer is a easy to use blogging tool. It allows you to blog from any location weather you have a Internet connection or not. It gives you all the functions of the normal writing box but it has a much nicer GUI then the web based one.

The software doesn’t come with any spy ware or anything you have to worry about.

Another cool feature of this program is it has the capability to add Official plug in to improve your blogging experience.

Writer is defiantly a keeper. Anyone wanting to post to WordPress, and many other blogging software, Windows Live Writer is for you!

Microsoft Office 2007

Well I have gotten my hands on a copy of Microsoft Office 2007. I have to say my first impression was “What the hell have they done with the GUI?” But after navigating around a little wile I started to really like the new menues. Microsoft has made it easy to format documents and move things around. Most features in work you had to go digging for, but now it’s right there infront of you.

PowerPoint has also gone over the same changes as Word.

The guys at Microsoft have actualy lisned to what we wanted in Outlook. First the naviagation is much easyer and they have added a RSS reader into the program. Very Slick!

Another cool application that is now included in Office 2007 is called Microsoft Groove. This program alows a group of people working on a project to edit files on a open area instead of sending e-mail and such. Please watch this demo for more infomation on how it works.

Office OneNote is also a very nice program. It can basicaly be a note taking binder. To bad it isn’t fesable to have this for a high school kid. Can’t wait to get to College to try it out. 😛

New Theme

Well as most of you can see I have changed the theme on the blog and on the forum. I Have changed some of the graphics on the forum to mach the blog’s green. I will do a few more changes on the forum background to make the lighter black on the blog. Enjoy!

V-night went with no major problems. The only issue we had was sound levels at the back of the gym. A gym is the worest place to have a concert or show of any sorts. We ran the amps at max all of the show. The school is consider bigger speakers and another amp. The one pre-show problem we did have was two burnt bulbs in the par 64’s. Lucky for use we have a local shop that carys the bulbs on the shelf. All in all it went well and I can’t wait till next year.

Variety Night… once again

Well once again, for the fifth year in a row, I am helping with W. J. Firckers annual Variety Night. The one thing thats going to be different is there will be more time to have the dress rehearsal. Instead of starting at 3:15 PM were going to start an hour early so all acts can be on stage and tested. A lot more organization has gone into this show. There is also a good tech crew to handle the show.
